Samsung: consolidating PR activity
Samsung: consolidating PR activity

The appointment is part of a move to consolidate Samsung's PR activity. Kazoo was handed the brief following a three way pitch. It will work alongside recently appointed The Red Consultancy which was handed the consumer PR brief last month (PRWeek, 26 June 2009).

Kazoo and The Red Consultancy replace incumbent Weber Shandwick which has held the account for ten months.

The review follows the appointment of former Hewlett-Packard corporate comms manager Rachel Cameron.

The brief focuses on better communicating Samsung's innovative technology and increasing the quantity and quality of product reviews and awards across consumer, specialist and business media. This will be supported by a thought-leadership programme for each line of business into specialist and industry titles.

The account will be headed up by Kazoo director Lena O'Shea.
