Key Sports Management has hired The Sports PR Company to handle all press and media for the footballer worldwide.

The agency is run by the Beckham’s former publicist and The Outside Organisation’s press director Caroline McAteer and Chelsea PRO Pippa Hancock.

This week, Walcott has been embroiled in a tug of war between England Under-21 team manager Stuart Pearce and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. Wenger has asked the Football Association not to include Walcott in both the junior and the senior England team this summer because he is worried the young footballer could have less than a week to recover before Arsenal start training for the new season.

The Sports PR Company’s current clients include Chelsea players Didier Drogba, Petr Cech and Michael Essien, Manchester United player Patrice Evra and Sunderland player Djibril Cisse.
