Alcopop brand WKD turns to Bray Leino to boost profile

Vodka-based alcopop WKD has appointed Bray Leino to boost its profile with a series of stunts, including a 'Kebab Cab' concept.

The aim of the brief is to promote the drink to consumers going into bars and clubs, as well as positioning it as a take-home option. One of the initiatives targets readers of Nuts and Zoo magazines.

Bray Leino MD Roberta Fuke said: ‘The campaign kicks off with a Kebab Cab concept that will tour the UK, offering the best trip home after a night out: a cab with a kebab.’

The retained brief, worth more than £100,000, was won in a competitive pitch. WKD is made by Beverage Brands.

Separately, former Sputnik Communications MD Penny Porter is to rejoin Bray Leino as director overseeing the London office. Sputnik made Porter red­undant after eight months.
