COI appoints Vivien Morgan as associate director

The Central Office of Information (COI) has made another new appointment to its growing team - associate director, Vivien Morgan.

Morgan takes responsibility for COI's London, South East and East England regions as well as the in-house PR team, and will provide high level PR advice on campaigns.

Morgan brings with her over 25 years experience in journalism and public relations, having previously worked as a correspondent, reporter and producer for CNBC and the BBC. She has also been an item editor on Channel Four News and reporter on BBC Breakfast News.

In 2008 Morgan published a book entitled Practising Videojournalism, an academic and practical textbook for multi-media production.

Most recently she was communications director at the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).

She reports directly into COI director of news and PR Neil Martinson.

The news follows the appointment of James Helm who is deputy director of news and public relations.
