City Profile has hired Rebecca Munns from RBS Hoare Govett. She spent 11 years at the RBS-owned broker where she was a director of corporate broking and headed the investor relations team, advising numerous clients. Before joining Hoare Govett, she held a similar position at SG Warburg (now UBS).

Square 1 Consulting has been handed a retained financial comms brief with superconductor specialist Zenergy Power. The agency won the account from incumbent the Hansard Group and will support the AIM-listed firm's push into the US. The firm recently raised £9.5m in a share placing to enable it to provide technology to US energy giants looking to tackle blackouts in the country.

DTEK, the Ukranian coal and electricity company, has brought in FD to advise on corporate and financial comms in international markets. The agency will support the management team's outreach to the media and financial community outside Ukraine.

The UK Contractors Group has recruited Madano as one of its first affiliate members, providing comms expertise. Affiliate membership is open to organisations that provide services to the construction industry.

ASK Europe, a global behavioural consultant specialising in leadership, management development and executive coaching, has appointed Westgate following a non-competitive pitch. Westgate will manage ASK's corporate PR activity in 2009.

Greentarget has been appointed as PR adviser to IT2 Treasury Solutions, a provider of treasury management software to corporate treasuries and financial institutions. Greentarget's brief will cover media and analyst relations in the UK and US.
