National Lottery operator Camelot selects regional agencies

Camelot has revealed it will work with 3x1 Public Relations, Ptarmigan Bell Pottinger, Paver Smith, Effective Communication, Townhouse Communications, Tribe, Blue Zebra and Robin Walsh.

The eight agencies will support Camelot's London-based press office with consumer PR support. The agencies will work on managing press conferences to announce new lottery winners and PR campaigns to raise awareness of unclaimed prizes.

Paratus Communications, the incumbent for the six-figure account, did not re-pitch since Camelot decided to take the day-to-day management of its regional PR in-house.

Camelot's corporate and media relations activity, which is handled on a project basis by FD and overseen by Camelot's head of media relations Ben Rosier, is not affected.
