Double-figure growth was not uncommon, and when you consider that by the last quarter of 2008 the recession had really started to bite, this is an impressive achievement.
Many agencies also reported clients reducing or even stopping advertising spend but keeping their PR budgets unaltered, proving once again the value of PR compared to other marketing disciplines.
Agencies that flourished in 2008 were ahead of the game in the digital field, had good strong client relationships and grew organically, setting themselves up for a successful 2009.
