- What is it good for?

Texture is a destination-style restaurant and a good choice for a special occasion or a refreshing change. It is physically connected to Best Western's Mostyn Hotel, so it might suit a semi-formal dinner with out-of-town clients. The food is healthy and light, with a fresh Icelandic theme, but matched with some good choices of wine from around the globe.

- Signature dish

Lots of healthy options such as Icelandic lamb, blue fin tuna and in-season vegetables and fruit.

- Who's the boss?

The partners are Xavier Rousset, who is head sommelier, and Agnar Sverrisson, who is head chef. Both previously held the same roles at Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons. Special mention should go to the sommelier Erica Laler, who is both knowledgeable and delightful.

- What's the damage?

It currently offers a special lunch menu: two courses for £18.50, three courses including dessert for £22, and three courses including cheese for £25.
