Omnicom has released details of its new global healthcare agency, following previous revelations in PRWeek. TogoRun will have offices in New York and London. Kathy Hyett will be based in New York as agency president. Jennifer Wilson, formerly of Athena Medical PR and pharma firm Roche, will be MD in the London office.

CAS Marketing Communications has been hired to handle PR for Independent Living Scotland, the leading disability, rehabilitation and homecare show in Scotland. The biennial show is being held at the SECC in Glasgow in September.

Linwoods, the health food manufacturer, has appointed Bottle PR to promote the firm and its range of natural superfood producs across the UK. The Oxford-based agency won the account after a competitive four-way pitch.

The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) held its annual conference in London last week. Speakers at the 'Championing Successful UK Healthcare' event included Health Secretary Alan Johnson and Richard Barker, director general of the ABPI.
