Describe the magazine

Triathlon Plus is an expert, exciting and inspirational magazine for athletes who know one sport is not enough.

Why launch now?

Triathlon is the UK's fastest-growing, coolest sport. Existing triathlon magazines either lack the in-depth training knowledge triathletes need, or the edgy, engaging presentation they want.

Who are its readers?

Anyone who loves competing in triathlons. They are mostly men, though we expect the number of women to grow. They have high disposable income that they spend on the latest gear.

What makes a great Triathlon Plus story?

Detailed how-to features, but the key is in the expertise. We talk to people who have reached the top and can explain techniques.

Triathlon Plus launch issueOf which feature are you most proud?

We ran a training package by triathlon legends Simon Lessing, Emma Snowsill and Julie Dibens. Also an inspirational story from Martin Holden, who went from being a couch potato to completing an Ironman challenge in 18 months.

What relationship do you have with PR professionals?

We have long-standing relationships with cycling PROs - thanks to Future Publishing's brilliant bike portfolio. People seem keen to be involved.

PR pet peeves?

It is unfortunate if people are unhappy with a product review, as all our reviews are independent and honest.

Media must-haves?

Any health and fitness titles, especially Cycling Plus, Men's Health, Runner's World; any glossy magazine to relax; The Observer and the Mail on Sunday for a laugh. I do not have time for TV but never miss a weather forecast.

Circulation Too early for figures

Lead times Eight weeks
