PROs not spending enough time with kids

Some 62 per cent of people in PR and marketing feel they are missing out on spending time with their children, a survey suggests.

The survey, commissioned by model toy company Airfix, revealed that people working in PR feel they cannot spend as much time with their children as they would like because of the credit crunch.

Out of those surveyed, 88 per cent of people in the industry said they wished they had more time to spend playing with their children, one of the highest percentages of the 30 occupations surveyed.

On average marketing and PR professionals spend 17 hours a week playing with their children.

The figures are based on a survey of 2,000 parents; 72 of which worked in PR and marketing.
