Duffy will be working with the 86 Subway stores in Northern Ireland. Lawrence Duffy, MD, will be leading the account alongside account manager Fiona Brown.

Dublin-based Hartnett McClure PR handles the PR for Subway in the Republic of Ireland (PRWeek, 8 May) and Firefly has worked with the brand in Scotland (PRWeek, 15 July).

Subway was founded in 1965 and has more than 29,000 outlets in over 80 countries. The company plans to open 2,010 outlets in UK and Ireland by 2010.

In April, Duffy won a competitive four-way pitch to work on a project basis to promote Subway's sponsorship of The Northern Ireland Milk Cup, an international youth football tournament.
