Euro RSCG signs up digital and creative director

EURO RSCG Biss Lancaster has hired its first digital and creative director. Bill Hunt will start in January. He is a freelance PRO and web designer who has previously worked at Brando and Cohn & Wolfe. The hire is part of new MD Holly Ward's initiative to strengthen the agency's digital offering.

Johnson King has been chosen by Fonebank, a company that recycles mobile phones, to boost its profile. The brief is to raise awareness of the issues around mobile handset recycling and increase traffic to the Fonebank website. Fonebank enables people to receive up to £200 in cash in exchange for their old mobiles.

Parys Communications has been signed up by iCrossing, a global digital marketing agency. With 620 staff in 14 offices in the UK, US and Europe, iCrossing is one of the largest digital marketing agencies in the world and has worked with brands including Porsche and Unilever.

Simon Rimmer, the celebrity chef on BBC 2's Something for the Weekend, has brought in Peppermint Digital to develop a website for his Cheshire-based restaurant Earle. Peppermint Digital, sister company to Peppermint PR, was founded in 2008 and Graham Robinson is head of digital services.

Richmond Towers Communications has been hired to launch VPhase VX1, an energy-saving technology. The agency will handle consumer and trade PR for the product, which aims to cut UK electricity bills by up to 10 per cent. VPhase has already signed an agreement with British Gas Services, which could eventually lead to its products becoming available to all British Gas customers.
