Blow to promote Ego luxury laptops

- Ego, the luxury laptop brand, has hired fashion PR expert Blow. The laptop manufacturer recently collaborated on Ego for Bentley - a hand-built laptop created for the prestigious car-maker.

- Tangerine PR has recruited Russell Hirst as its new viral marketing specialist, as part of its move to create a stand-alone digital service. Its digital offering will include online reputation management, digital branding and blogging. Hirst has been working as a digital marketing consultant since selling his online floral business, Valueflora.com, in 2007.

- VTech, which produces educational electronic toys, has handed an account to EHPR following a three-way pitch. From 2009, the agency will focus on driving trials for new product launches via direct comms with parents, third-party affiliations and a media relations campaign.

- Braben will manage PR for WebMission, an annual competition for UK web entrepreneurs. WebMission takes 20 of the top UK web start-ups to San Francisco to meet top venture capitalists and extend their businesses. Braben will provide ongoing media relations support for the competition, sponsors and participants.

- Clarion Communications has been chosen to handle the PR launch of 60706 GotYourPriceCheck, a text price comparison company. The agency will target tech and shopping bloggers with a celebrity-fronted campaign. The service allows people to get the best deals for electrical products and gadgets via SMS.

- Mi Liberty has been brought in to manage PR for German mobile marketing agency YOC. Mi Liberty will build the company's UK profile after the firm opened a London office.
