Voluntary Sector: The Week in Charities

- nfpsynergy has discovered the public dramatically overestimates how much a charity spends on both administration and fundraising. - The Honeypot Charity is hoping a new partnership with Sony Ericsson will help attract future funders through increased media exposure. The charity for vulnerable children will be the company's chosen charity for the next two years.

- The Prostate Cancer Charity has kicked off a final media push for Movember, its annual fundraising event. Head of media and PR Vivienne Francis is leading the four-strong team, which will establish its media profile as an authority on the disease.

- The Great Western Air Ambulance is using Golley Slater to raise its profile in the South West. The agency is organising appeals with the Bristol Evening Post, GWR Radio and the Gloucester Echo.

- Clatterbridge Cancer Research, the Liverpool-based charity, has rebranded and is using Third Sector PR to help increase its profile in the North West and raise £2m in voluntary donations.
