The independent organisation working to safeguard the rights and welfare of the mentally-ill in Scotland has appointed Smarts to deliver the ‘Principles into Practice’ Awards Scheme.

The awards will help to develop a network of individuals and professional groups involved in mental health across Scotland.

The scheme is expected to launch in November 2008, with winners being announced at an awards ceremony next February.

The ceremony will be incorporated into a national conference event being held in Glasgow, also set up by Smarts.
