Paramount Pictures brings in Way to Blue

Paramount Pictures UK is using Way to Blue to handle the online PR campaign for Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa. The animation film, which will be released in December, features the voices of Ben Stiller and Sacha Baron Cohen. The press and advertising budget for the film is around £2m.

Harvard PR has won a competitive pitch to be the first UK agency for the mobile technology company Valimo. The Finnish brand provides security technology to allow people to access financial services, such as online banking, on their mobile phones. Charlotte West, director at Harvard PR, will lead the account.

Vehicle Text, the service that allows people to put their cars up for sale online by sending a text, has appointed Monsta PR to launch the business venture. Gary Lucy, the actor known for his roles in Hollyoaks, Footballers' Wives and The Bill, is behind the venture. Monsta has won the consumer and trade account on a retained basis. The agency will be reaching out to national newspapers, motoring magazines and entertainment magazines to build awareness of the service.

Sony Professional has chosen tech specialist Inferno to manage its European PR. Sony Professional is the business arm of Sony and sells products and consultancy to business customers. The account is headed by director Paul Mackender and managing director Grant Currie.

Fresh Egg, a digital PR agency, has appointed Allan Bisset as communications and development manager. Bisset has previously worked at Edelman and Weber Shandwick. He will work with clients on their websites and social media campaigns.
