Addaction is launching a campaign on 6 October to challenge the perception that drug and alcohol treatment is an unfashionable cause to support. 'People don't think of charities when they think of drug and alcohol treatment. It is certainly not seen as a "sexy cause",' said Addaction's director of marketing and public affairs Alan Booth.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has appointed 3 Monkeys Communications to support the charity's biggest annual fundraiser: SOS Day. 3 Monkeys' brief is to support the event - taking place on 30 January - with media relations, stunts and experiential activity.

The Teenage Cancer Trust has partnered retailer USC to raise money to build units in NHS hospitals for teenagers with cancer. The initiative, which will be called USC Loves TCT, will be launched on 21 October.

The Mental Health Media Awards will be promoted by Furner Communications. The agency will use TV presenter and host of the evening Ruby Wax to promote the awards. The event takes place on 25 November.

Limelight Community, the CSR specialist, has rebranded to Lumina. Lumina handles community relations and employee engagement.
