Colleagues mourn celeb agency boss

Tributes have been pouring in for the boss of a Fulham-based celebrity PR agency who died of a heart attack.

Aroon Kamar Maharajh’s funeral was held this month, after he suddenly passed away at the age of 41.

Maharajh was the founder and CEO of celebrity management shop Full Portion Media. The agency’s celebrity clientele includes former boxer Chris Eubank, chef Jean Christophe Novelli and Princess Diana’s former lover James Hewitt.

The agency also has a number of sports clients on its books, including jockey Richard Dunwoody.

Account manager Erin Woodward said: ‘Aroon was the light in the room, the hub of creativity, and an overwhelming presence that you just wanted to be around in the hope that some of his genius would rub off on you.

‘He was a tremendous boss and the first person you wanted to tell about some great piece of press you’d just managed to wangle. Our clients were drawn to him like a moth to a flame, and he would make them feel like they were the most important people in the world.’

Account director Natalie Whitlock added: ‘He was like a dad to a lot of the staff.’

Full Portion Media is owned by PR and marketing investment company Aqua-rius Media.

The agency will now be headed by Maharajh’s wife, Teresa Quinlan, who has been made CEO with immediate effect.
