Sometimes it seems that when PROs aren't beavering away improving reputations, they're spending the rest of the time razing any vestige of reputation to the ground. So it is with Michele Elyzabeth, former PRO for Heather Mills, who in the Daily Mail on 8 September called Mills 'a calculating, pathological liar and the biggest bitch on the planet'...

Aberdeen footballer Lee Miller is also experiencing this parallel destructive force. Glasgow PR man Craig McGill (on behalf of Miller's solicitor Graham Walker) sent out a note to media diaries telling the press Miller will be in court for speeding. Luckily, those wily media operators added a disclaimer: 'not for publication'. Because that always works. And yes, Walker is no longer working for Miller...

Meanwhile, BT senior press officer Jon Carter has been successfully promoting himself, with a YouTube clip of himself theatrically slipping up during the annual BT Vision Challenge Cup football tournament at the Emirates Stadium. Dubbed 'The Skateboard Kid', Carter has racked up 1.2 million viewings, and it is has now become the 56th most popular sports clip of all time...

Which bodes ominously for PRWeek hacks, who this week take on the likes of Fishburn Hedges, Hill & Knowlton and Edelman in a football tournament. Rules stipulate players 'must wear shinpads', so things could get dirty...
