The charity that provides arts workshops to people including the mentally ill, prisoners and ex-offenders, will use its series of events in tribute to Pink Floyd musician Syd Barrett, to raise its profile in both regional, national and third sector media.

It hopes to attract more funding as well as raising its profile in the voluntary sector in an attempt to win more service contracts.

Escape Artists currently runs workshops for clients including Sue Ryder Care, Crisis (Skylight) and Lewes Prison.

The charity brought in music specialist Quite Great PR earlier this year to help create a bigger splash around the project.

Regional media will be targeted alongside the arts and society sections in the broadsheets.
Pink Floyd fans will be targeted through online sites, Facebook, MySpace, and music magazines.
