Four months after PRWeek embarked on its Columbo-style investigation into public sector PR spending, the Ministry of Justice is still deferring its FOI request.

As it is supposed to respond within 28 days, perhaps it is time the Information Commissioner was notified? That would surely be justice...

Favourite Covent Garden PR haunt The Hospital lived up to its name last week. Flack was in the vicinity when a wine glass blew over and a big shard landed in a guest's arm, narrowly missing a vein. Tangerine PR, which has been shorn of its London office (see news), took spinning to new levels this week, telling PRWeek it had been advising burger chain Wimpy for 'two months'. When told the story was too old, it was changed to 'well, that's been planning and we've only really kicked off the account in the past four weeks'. But on calling the client, our reporter was told the agency had been on board for 'the past four or five months'! Tangerine finally cleared things up: 'We started on the first restaurant as a trial and so we didn't PR it.' Tsk...
