Public Sector: Education scandal

Media teams at the Department for Children, Schools and Families were busy fire-fighting last week. First there was the Can't Read, Can't Write TV show, which branded UK adult learning standards 'a national scandal'. Coupled with this was an Independent on Sunday report that secondary school head teachers are unwilling to trust national curriculum test results after the recent marking fiasco, and will be holding their own tests.
