Bell Pottinger to lobby for C-charge consultants

The consultants behind the London congestion charging zone have hired Bell Pottinger Public Affairs for a lobbying offensive.

Jacobs, one of the world's largest engineering and technical consulting firms, has hired the agency in an attempt to raise its profile with key decision makers.

Bell Pottinger's remit is to increase awareness of Jacobs' role and track record in delivering key UK infrastructure with government, parliament, local authorities and other audiences.

Bell Pottinger Public Affairs MD David Sowells, said: 'We are pleased to be working with Jacobs to ensure that the impressive part they are playing in delivering first class infrastructure for the UK is recognised by government and other stakeholders.'

UK projects that Jacobs has been involved in include Thameslink 2000, monitoring of the London congestion charging zone, nuclear decommissioning, and a wide range of public service outsourcing and PFI contracts.
