The academy will be an employer-led centre aiming to foster a society of entrepreneurs. There will be an initial student intake in January 2009, followed by the first full academic year-long course in October 2009.
Blue Rubicon's initial contract is for 18 months. It is the only retained agency across all of Peter Jones' interests.
The agency has been briefed to raise awareness of the centre among potential students, as well as supporting corporate partners and ensuring the entrepreneurial qualification is given national recognition among employers.
The agency was chosen after a three-way Dragon's Den-style pitch.
The academy's plans were launched in conjunction with the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, which is investing capital funding.
