Software firm Autonomy in agency trawl

Autonomy, the multi-billion software giant, has fired its longstanding PR agency Bite Communications. Bite had been Autonomy's agency since 2005

The company is the second largest firm in Europe that deals purely with software and describes its aim as using this software to 'manage information technology and make it more human-friendly'.

Autonomy was recently featured in Reuters for looking set to buck the trend of the economic downturn as industries are willing to invest in its compliance technology as a means of recouping losses.

Famously, it was Autonomy software which caught Société Générale banker Jérôme Kerviel who lost billions of his bank's money earlier this year.

Autonomy is now shortlisting for agencies.
