Ex-L'Oreal chief takes ASA role

Former L'Oreal corporate communications head Esra Erkal-Paler is to resurface in the top comms role at The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

Erkal-Paler joins the ASA next week as director of communications and marketing. She left her last role as director of corporate comms at L'Oreal last July to spend time with her family, after six years with the cosmetics giant.

Erkal-Paler will oversee a team of nine. She succeeds Claire Forbes, who has been appointed director of comms at the Youth Justice Board (PRWeek, 30 May).
