Creative industry brief for Edelman

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has hired Edelman to work on a new UK-based conference for the global creative industries.

The World Creative Business Conference will provide an annual forum for people engaged in creative industries worldwide to debate the challenges facing the sector.

The event was planned in a strategy paper, 'Creative Britain: New Talents for the New Economy', published earlier this year. The first conference is scheduled for 2009 and aims to attract business and creative luminaries and emerging entrepreneurs.

Edelman will develop and test the concept. Event management agency Acclaim has also been appointed to work closely with Edelman.
