A closer look provides some interesting insights. Take City agency M:Communications. It has managed a 20 per cent increase in fee income, jumping to more than £10m and 17th in the table. It has achieved this with only 40 members of staff.
Further down the list, BGB Communications boasts 60 staff, but made only £1.9m, and Way to Blue has 45 members of staff, but called in only £1.7m in fees.
Yet more proof that financial PR is clearly the place for high margins.
