CORPORATE Richard Bloch, former PR manager for Rank Interactive, has joined Betfair as head of PR for Betfair Poker. He is reviewing the firm's agency support ahead of September's European staging of the World Series of Poker. 

CONSUMER Shine Communications has been appointed to handle UK PR activity for SAB Miller's Peroni Nastro Azzurro brand. Shine replaces three-year incumbent Gabrielle Shaw Communications, which will continue to work on the brand's global account. 

AGENCY Media House International has acquired Countryside Comms to strengthen its services in the rural business sector. Countryside was founded by former government comms adviser Richard Bailey. 

CORPORATE Stuart Jackson has been made comms director of Orange in the UK, running the PR, internal comms, internal brand and CSR teams, having held an interim role. He will head up the 25-strong team and replaces Scott Jacobson.

HEALTHCARE Australian suncare brand Sunsense has hired health specialist Ash Communications to promote its products in the UK. The agency will work with skincare specialists to promote sun awareness messages to the public.

CONSUMER Fashion agency Blow has been taken on by milliner Misa Harada to handle her international press activity. Blow replaces five-year incumbent agency Exposure.

CONSUMER Soft drinks company Britvic has secured its first Northern Ireland retained PR support for the Robinsons brand. Belfast-based Morrow Communications has been hired following project work it undertook in 2007.
