DIARY: Will Max have to change nappies?

Outside's Alan Edwards is listed in the PRWeek Power Book 2008 (published this week) as one of the top PROs in entertainment and consumer work. Rival Max Clifford also gets a mention for his work with the great, the good and the addicted.

In many ways, Clifford is the godfather of celebrity publicists, managing images since before Diary was a twinkle in his mother's eye.

So it was difficult to know whether to congratulate Clifford or not upon reading that longtime client Kerry Katona, who has more issues than Reader's Digest, is naming her new baby after the silver fox.

Katona said her new baby will be called Maxwell 'after Max Clifford'. Diary wonders whether Clifford will have to take any turns changing nappies.
