PRESS
Julian Coman, home news editor of The Independent, will be moving to The Observer as foreign editor. Coman replaces Tracy McVeigh, who will take on the role of chief reporter.

The Financial Times' New York bureau chief David Wighton is moving to London, where he will join The Times as business and city editor. The FT has also promoted Tom Griggs from the UK companies desk, to the special reports team as commissioning editor.

The Times' foreign news editor Martin Barrow will start as the paper's home editor at the end of the month.

The Guardian's northern reporter David Ward is leaving after 33 years with the newspaper. He will be pursuing a freelance career.

The Independent's acting features editor Guy Adams is relocating to America as LA correspondent in May.

James Hanning, executive editor (comment) at The Independent on Sunday, has been promoted to deputy editor. Easy Living magazine's features editor Lisa Markwell will take over his role.

The Daily Telegraph assistant editor Richard Preston will oversee the Saturday edition of the paper while Michele Lavery is on maternity leave.

Country Life deputy editor Jessica Fellowes has left the lifestyle title to go freelance.

Sarah O'Meara has joined the Press Association as a features writer, moving from the Cambridge Evening News, where she was also a features writer.

IPC shopping title Look has hired Jo Adnitt as features writer. Adnitt moves from Natmags title Good Housekeeping where she was features assistant.

Following Emily Bamber's departure to set up an editorial agency, Karl Cushing is acting features and supplements editor at RBI trade title Travel Weekly. Cushing moves from Caterer and Hotelkeeper.

The Evening Standard's ES Magazine has appointed Giorgina Ramazzotti as assistant shopping editor. Ramazzotti was a junior press officer for Elizabeth Hurley's swimwear line.

The Scotsman has promoted projects and planning editorial assistant Peter Ranscombe to business reporter.

Seven Publishing food and drink title Delicious has hired Lucy Williams as cookery assistant. Williams worked at BBC Good Food.

BROADCAST
CNN International daily news co-anchor Isha Sesay will host Inside Africa, a weekly show looking at African social, political and economic news. Nick Valencia is the producer.

BBC head of factual entertainment Ben Gale is poised to join Five as director of programmes. Gale is the former series editor of hits such as Who Do You Think You Are?

DIGITAL
BBC Worldwide has launched a new environmental website, BBC Green. The site will focus on all areas of green living. Paul Allen is the editor.

Hearst Digital title Cosmopolitan.co.uk is relaunching. The new website will go live next month, and will include Cosmo TV, with 'fly on the wall' beauty videos.

The News of the World's new magazine Fabulous has appointed Nicky Harley as editor of its website.

Liverpool.com editor Penny Fray has moved to lifestyle title LivingEDGE as editor. David Lloyd replaces Fray on the regional website as editor of both the print and online titles.
