Louie St Claire will move to Octopus as associate director at the end of the month, joining a management team led by MD Jon Lonsdale.

St Claire is a PR manager responsible for business comms at Microsoft, covering campaigns for MS Office, mobile and security issues among others.

Before Microsoft, St Claire was consumer PR manager for O2 after spending time agency-side at AxiCom and Kaizo.

Lonsdale called the appointment a great coup, adding that St Claire would be responsible for tech and corporate accounts including Siemens and American Express.

Octopus was shortlisted for the sought-after Facebook account last autumn, eventually losing out to Bite (PRWeek, 17 October 2007). Tech PR insiders agreed this was one of the most competitive pitches in recent times.
