DIARY: Let's Meet at - Aurora, reviewed by Pam Sharpless, director, USP Content

I have to say I am queen of lunches. As a big part of my job involves entertaining, I like to take clients somewhere they may go with friends, and that is close to their office.

I have to say I am queen of lunches. As a big part of my job involves entertaining, I like to take clients somewhere they may go with friends, and that is close to their office. That is why Aurora is great, neatly tucked away in Lexington Street in the heart of PR and media land (Soho) - people can pop in, have lunch and be back in time for their afternoon cuppa.

Once in, you are welcomed by charming, attentive staff and immediately transported into a cosy, warm and almost gothic atmosphere. On a cold winter's day, with candles on the table, it is all very romantic. One client was so enchanted he spent the whole lunch working out a way to propose to his girlfriend there.

What makes this place worth a visit, though, is the food, which should come with a health warning. You will get food envy here; I always have prawns to start, followed by succulent tuna and usually a carb-heavy pudding. The wine list is stunning and takes a while to discuss: 'Should we be drinking or not? Yes. Right, let's spend another ten minutes deciding which.'

I love PR lunches, with chats on the latest celebrity gossip - this place is so inviting you can stay all afternoon talking about Jordan's nose, the Spice Girls concert and, of course, work. And you won't break the expenses account.

Where: 49 Lexington Street, W1F 9AP
Contact: 020 7494 0514
How much: £35 for a three-course lunch with wine
