The HostelBookers site has hired travel and lifestyle agency BGB for an EMEA consumer and trade brief. The site allows travellers to book hostels and hotels worldwide without a booking fee. Top destinations include Amsterdam and Chicago.
BGB has been briefed to carry out an initial trade campaign, positioning the website as market leader in the budget accommodation sector. It will then launch local language websites to the Spanish, French, German and Italian markets.
BGB director Helen Coop said the agency won the business after working with website founder Kingsley Duffy on the launch of his Generator Hostel in Berlin.
BGB was recently hired by Kerzner International to work on the launch of its Palm Jumeirah resort in Dubai (PRWeek, 6 February).
