Ruder Finn hires new MD for UK

Ruder Finn has appointed a new UK MD after an exhaustive six-month search.

Nick Leonard, former MD of Lewis subsidiary Octane, will start at Ruder Finn's London office on Monday. His appointment is part of an 'aggressive expansion plan' across its corporate, tech and lifestyle practices.

The agency last summer put MD John Preston and chief operating officer Neil Porter on 'special leave' (PRWeek, 3 August 2007). US-based agency chairman Peter Finn said there were no plans to replace Porter.

Leonard was in talks with other London firms as recently as two weeks ago (PRWeek, 31 January).
