LETTERS: Stop the squabbling over TUPE rulings

Having been personally responsible for the CIPR's policy work until quitting for pastures new, I do find it amusing to have Colin Farrington now praising guides I produced (Letters, 1 February).

Flattering as his comments might be, he is being slightly less than accurate when he suggests the PRCA is following the CIPR's lead. In 2006, my predecessor Patrick Barrow stated: 'TUPE could cause chaos for the PR industry, yet very few people have woken up to the implications.'

Instead of squabbling over who opposed TUPE first, Farrington might instead prefer simply to join us in lobbying against such a bad law.

Francis Ingham, director general, PRCA.
