Osborn departs from Butler Kelly

Former Citigate Public Affairs MD Rex Osborn has walked out of lobbying shop Butler Kelly just six months after he was drafted in to raise its profile.

He has left the agency to join public policy conference specialist Neil Stewart Associates as director of research and development.

Sources close to Osborn said the split was entirely amicable and that Osborn has left because the 'chemistry' was not right.

Butler Kelly is run by former Tory MP Chris Butler and former Tribune editor Phil Kelly. Last year, Kelly said Osborn's role was to 'supervise this period of growth and to raise our profile,' (PRWeek, 22 June 2007).
