Talk to promote contentious mag

US-based fashion retailer Abercrombie & Fitch is to use Talk PR to launch its controversial A&F Quarterly publication in the UK.

The magazine was axed in the US after public outrage over erotic images four years ago. Four US states threatened legal action against the retailer after it featured pictures of naked models and interviewed porn stars.

The new edition of the magazine will go on sale in April, with editorial direction by Tyler Brule and photography from Bruce Weber.

Talk PR will target the fashion press. Board director Samantha Coon said the agency would reassure the media that the retailer will only sell the title to over-18s.

A&F opened its first UK outlet in London's Bond Street last year.
