Time Out turns to agency backing

Time Out has appointed The SPA Way to handle its consumer business following a six-way pitch.

London-based The SPA Way fended off rivals Resonate, Exposure, DSA, Frank and Braben to win the sought-after brief.

The agency starts work immediately and will be working on a brief to support a series of magazine upgrades launching in January.

‘2008 is a busy year for Time Out,’ said head of magazine marketing Catherine Demajo. ‘We'll celebrate our 40th anniversary, launch five additional international magazines titles and increase the amount of content and functionality available online in the key genres of music and travel.’

The account was put out to pitch in September (PRWeek, 21 September). The SPA Way will report into group marketing director John Luck.
