Edelman UK scores new CSR chief

Edelman UK has brought in David McKnight as director of its CSR business First&42nd.

A former senior manager at Ernst & Young, he will be responsible for providing strategic consultancy to existing clients including Orange and Deutsche Post World Net. He will also be responsible for the growth of First&42nd in the UK.
McKnight has ‘over 17 years’ experience working across the whole spectrum of CSR activities for multinationals in a range of sectors’.
At Ernst & Young, McKnight developed the CSR report assurance and consulting services. He managed the consultancy’s key CSR reporting engagements for clients including Aviva, BP, BG Group, BNFL, National Grid, Orange, Pemex, Reliance Industries and Reed Elsevier.
‘Corporate Responsibility is higher up the CEO agenda than ever before and, at the same time, ethical business practices are increasingly put under the spotlight by both consumers and shareholders,’ said Edelman UK CEO Robert Phillips.
