LSC lures Munro & Forster lobbyist

The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) has appointed Munro & Forster lobbyist Helen Munro to oversee its public affairs activity.

Munro replaces Hugh Milward, who quit as the quango’s head of public affairs more than a year ago to become UK head of public affairs at McDonald’s (PRWeek, 7 September 2006).

Munro has not been given the same title as Milward. Rather, she joins with a wider brief and the title external relations manager. Munro reports to the LSC’s head of marcoms Nicky Bunker.

The LSC is funded by the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills. A spokeswoman said: ‘Helen’s remit will be to ensure that skills and training remain high up on both the public and the political agendas.’
