As any PR specialist knows, perception is everything. Take Jon Mendelsohn, for example. By getting involved in the Labour Party's acceptance of fishy funds from Newcastle-based property developer David Abrahams, he not only caused problems for Gordon Brown, but also for his old agency FD-LLM (PRWeek, 30 November).
