Express joins the digital Diana age

There are those that would, and have, describe the Daily Mail and the Daily Express as positioning themselves editorially somewhere to the right of Mein Kampf.

If it is not the gypsies' fault, then it is almost certainly immigrants. If the Daily Mail gets there first, then The Daily Diana will go with, well, Diana, or Madeleine.

A little while back PRWeek revealed that the Daily Mail was touring the UK's PR agencies in the Herculean task of convincing them that militant country-folk obsessed with the royal family and political correctness are not the only readers of the venerable publication (PRWeek, 4 May).

No news yet if the assignment was successful, but the missionaries travel with Diary's best wishes.

Diary did ponder whether the Express would follow suit, but it seems the self proclaimed 'World's Greatest Newspaper' has no such issue with its perception.

Upon visiting the Express' website this week and heading to the search function, Diary found the web designers have already put in the name 'Princess Diana', to save users the trouble.
