Naked Ape wins pitch to launch new PSP game

Empire Interactive has hired Naked Ape PR to handle the launch of its new FlatOut: Head On PSP game, which will hit the market in early 2008.

The consumer tech agency has been appointed for an initial five-month project following a three-way pitch, and has been briefed to secure coverage in advance of the racing game’s debut.

The title has sold well in its Xbox incarnation and has secured positive reviews in the gaming press.

Naked Ape co-founder Gavin Spicer said this win is part of a concerted effort by the year-old agency to add to its roster of video game clients. The agency’s other clients in the lucrative gaming sector include UK developer Eidos and Dutch outfit Commodore Gaming.

Spicer and his team will report to Empire European Marketing Manager Rob Noble.
