Web focus group to aid campaigns

Porter Novelli has launched a web-based focus group service to help its PROs test out ideas for campaigns.

The service, called Euro-PNStyles, is run in conjuction with market research company Synovate.

It provides access – via the web – to a panel of 16,649 people aged over 18 across Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the UK. The age­ncy plans to expand the number of countries to inc­lude Eastern Europe.

Porter Novelli’s director of strategic planning Mary Baker said the service could be used to aid PROs in the pitching stage or as a tool for testing out comms activity. Clients can pay to add on questions that can be used as research for future activity.

‘We found it expensive to get good data across several markets across Europe and decided to launch our own survey,’ said Baker.

The tool is a UK-version of a US survey database.
