CIPR looks for its first PR agency

The CIPR is to hold a pitch for its first ever PR agency in a bid to drive membership in 2008, the organisation's 60th-anniversary year.

PROs who work on the ­account must be CIPR members. Director-general Colin Farrington said he hoped the winning team would draw on their ‘expertise and experience to attract their colleagues who have not yet fully grasped what CIPR membership can do for them personally and professionally’.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 20 ­November.

Separately... the CIPR has awarded independent comms consultant John Brown the 2007 Stephen Tallents Medal for his work in PR.
