Trade body in double hire with property PR in mind

The trade body representing the commercial property industry has made two senior hires as it attempts to improve the image of the industry in Westminster.

The British Property Federation has appointed Social Market Foundation researcher Kurt Mueller as its new public affairs manager. Mueller starts on November 14, reporting to comms director Andrew Panting.

The trade body has also brought in Pozitiv Communications account manager Patrick Brown. He started this week, taking the title of senior policy officer and focusing on sustainability, planning and regeneration issues.

Director of communications Chris Carter is leaving in December for ‘personal reasons', according to a spokesman.

The commercial property industry is six times larger than the agriculture sector, more than twice the size of the oil industry, according to the The British Property Federation
