National Union of Journalists’ general secretary Jeremy Dear says recent job cuts in journalism are having a knock-on effect for the PR industry.

In this week’s video podcast Dear argues that overworked journalists are relying too heavily on press releases.

He says: ‘Job cuts and increased workloads for journalists are leading to a fall in editorial standards. Consequently there are fewer creditable places for PROs to place interviews.’
