Nycomed looks to boost PR support

Pharmaceutical company Nycomed has called in two independent healthcare PR shops to handle its corporate comms activity.

Independent PR consultancies Helen Lawn & Associates and Newman Associates PR have been brought on board to raise awareness of the company.

Helen Lawn & Associates’ MD Helen Lawn and Newman Associates’ MD Andy Newman have both previously worked with Nycomed’s UK country manager Julian Trimming in different guises.

The primary focus for the agencies will be corporate PR.

Nycomed’s existing products include Protium, TachoSil, Alvesco and Angiox.

Nycomed was formed from the merger of Altana Pharma and Nycomed in January 2007.
